Furniture Design

The Cacto lounge chair is the result of a collaboration between Scazziga and one of the leading Japanese furniture design companies, CASSINA IXC., as part of a larger collection called “East by Eastwest” by IXC.

The idea was to create a fine blend between Asian and Northern European design aesthetics.

The use of natural materials such as rubber-tree wood and buffalo leather strips give Cacto a warm character and comfortable presence.

We made a variety of scale study models in an effort to retain the authenticity of the classic furniture design process.
